The truth about Mike Geary

If you’ve spent any time researching fitness, fat loss, and specifically how to lose belly fat and get six pack abs online, then you probably know who Mike Geary is, or at least have heard the name. Mike is the author of “The Truth About Abs,” which is a best-selling fitness training program that promises to deliver ripped abs if you apply what it teaches. But more of that later.

I want to focus on the author rather than his written work for the moment. In other words, who is Mike Geary? What is his background, his credentials, his qualifications to claim that he knows the secrets to fitness, losing belly fat and a rippling physique?

Mike earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania (oddly, though, I haven’t found a reference to what his major was yet). He is certified as a personal trainer and nutrition specialist, and has been for 15+ years at this point. He spends *a lot* of time in the gym doing his own workouts and helping others with theirs, so he’s definitely “going the way,” hands down.

There are photos and videos posted online of Mike without his shirt. There’s no question that whatever he does works, because his ripped abs aren’t the only muscle group he’s gotten ripped. You can clearly see that this guy’s chest, shoulders, and especially triceps are obviously well-shaped. So perhaps the only question about your credentials and the effectiveness of your training materials is, do you preach what you practice (not the other way around, that’s an obvious yes), i.e. do you reveal the secrets of your own personal physical success? Again, let’s come back to that later.

To be 100% honest, I exchanged several emails and phone calls with Mike Geary and met him personally. Aside from what his resume and content posted online say, I’ve been able to get a real sense of Mike’s personality and character through our recent interactions, so my perspective here isn’t just “academic” based on reading about it, it is personal to a degree.

Surprisingly, and Mike may not appreciate me posting this (sorry bro!) but there is a word that would describe him as “introverted” to some degree. He’s not meant to be a disparagement at all, but for a guy who’s so successful, with his own personal fitness, his career as a trainer, and as an influential author with several best-selling publications, it just comes out a lot more. “quiet” then he would have waited. In fact, I think that says a lot about who he is, because in my book, the man has *a lot* to brag about and be arrogant if he wanted to, but he doesn’t. That is not him. He is a “man of few words” in a sense, just a straight forward guy.

So, to put things in perspective, and given what I know of him both on paper and in person, there’s really only one likely answer to the question I posed above. Does his training material really deliver the high-impact results that he himself has achieved? Does it reveal the real secret of his success? Based on what we’ve discussed so far, and what my gut tells me after meeting him, the answer would be “yes, of course.”

Going one step further though, in addition to everything I know, that is, the truth about Mike Geary, so to speak: I also have a copy of “The Truth About Abs”, I have read it thoroughly and I apply it in my own exercise regimen. And once again, from personal experience and knowledge, not speculation or conjecture, I can tell you that the answer to that question is a resounding “yes!” This guy knows what he’s up to when it comes to fitness, fat loss, and most of all, health, and he doesn’t hide anything.
