Samsung UN32EH4003 review: a satisfying viewing experience

Characteristics:

  • It has a high definition LED image quality.
  • Wide Color Enhancer Plus brings the RBG spectrum to life and delivers more vibrant yet natural-looking images.
  • It has a clear movement rate (CMR) amounting to sixty (60), so it presents sharp and detailed movements full of action without the distortion of images.
  • ConnectShare Movie allows you to view movies and videos collected on a flash drive in the convenience of the LED TV by simply plugging the flash drive into the TV’s USB ports.
  • Dolby Digital Plus / Dolby Pulse, a highly developed surround sound feature, optimizes LED TV sound from connected devices.
  • It has two HDMI ports and one USB port.

Pros:

  • Provides excellent viewing experience even from different angles. Other flat screens require direct viewing to ensure quality. However, this is not the same for this Samsung LED TV.
  • It’s easy to set up and works well with different types of media connection and sources:
  • With the SD cable, it displays excellent quality from a normal viewing distance.
  • No distortion is seen when used with HD Cable.
  • The picture is really nice when used with a normal 720p video file through the media player.
  • There is also no distortion even when used with the fast-moving 1080p video file through the media player.
  • Picture and sound settings can be adjusted to the desired quality.
  • It features a clean cut and looks stable with or without the stand.

Cons:

  • The default settings are poor and need adjustment to suit the quality desired by the owner.
  • Sound must be compatible with the included five (5) band equalizer to achieve the desired quality if not achieved with manual presets.
  • Backlight bleeding and some white areas on the edge of the screen can also be a concern.

Overall, this LED TV is still a good buy. It has the qualities one is looking for to enjoy watching, namely good image quality, rich, natural colors, and images that are still intact despite fast phasing scenes. Sure, it has setbacks like poor default settings and mediocre sound that can lead one to think twice about buying it. However, those hiccups are very small compared to the display quality you have. Plus, those hiccups can easily be remedied by manual adjustments, and if manual adjustments aren’t enough to fix them, the equalizer included in the package can still be used. As for backlight bleeding, it’s not much of a concern either, as it can also be easily fixed. White areas on the edge of the screen, on the other hand, aren’t really a problem. There are only a few of them and they are not really noticeable, especially while looking at them. They do not affect the visual experience.
