How to be your own inspiration

YEAH!

I am in the final phase of a HUGE project that I have been working on for about a year now and I can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel. This project has been quite a learning experience and I will celebrate in a big way when it launches. It felt great to erase so many of the items on my whiteboard, now I only have a few things left and I should be ready to launch soon.

I’m going to be very transparent because I want you to be inspired…

There were times when I wondered if I knew what I was getting myself into…

There were times when I just wanted to stop the process and move on to something else that might not be so hard! (And to be honest, I did stray at times, not realizing I was in avoidance mode.)

And there were times when I felt lost.

But I kept moving forward, sometimes at a snail’s pace, but I kept moving.

Then something fantastic happened… I was inspired.

What inspired me?

Pausing the play button on my own story was the first thing I was inspired to do.

Seriously, I got tired of the dialogue in my head; When will this be easier? Why isn’t this easier? How can this be easier? This hasn’t gotten any easier yet! Why is so difficult?

After hearing that story over and over again, I said to myself, enough is enough. I realized that life doesn’t get any easier with an attitude like that and I was making it harder than it should be.

So if you have a similar dialogue in your head, you need to reach your tipping point where you simply say “enough” and take serious, committed action. Any action that gets you off the ground is a good start.

Some action steps that I do for myself and recommend to my clients are

Clear clutter from the MIND: go for a walk, run, meditate… do what works for you, but do it now.

Clean up the clutter in SPACE: Hire someone to help you clean it up. If you spend time doing this yourself, you may end up slipping into avoidance mode, and before you know it, you’ll be organizing your kitchen pantry. So hire someone to do it for you while you get your business back on track.

Create a LIST of what you’ve accomplished, the loose ends, and what’s to come: Often your mind is messy because you have so many things on your mind that just aren’t resolved. So when you create a list with the three areas above, you can start to see your reality and go from there.

The second jolt of inspiration came from my vision and seeing my future self.

The vision I have of my business is the impact it has and will continue to have on others. My job doesn’t feel like work, it’s incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to my days with my clients.

I saw my future self as a happy, content, wealthy, and healthy person who put in a lot of hard work, dedication, and commitment to get to where she is. My future self has achieved many of her goals and is living a life beyond her dreams.

My clients; past, present and future And my future self, everything motivates me and encourages me to stay on my path no matter what.

Having a vision for your business, your life, and the outcome you want is incredibly important to connect with. Your vision will draw you into it when you get out of your own way and allow it.

Meeting your future self and staying in touch is incredibly powerful.

Now go introduce yourself.
