Alexandria City: Interesting Place

A city in Commonwealth Virginia, Alexandria is an independent city with a population of over 128,284. Located on the west bank of the Potomac River, it is a beautiful place that attracts a large crowd of visitors. It is only six miles from downtown Washington DC. Modern Alexandria’s infrastructure and development is shaped to resemble other Northern Virginia cities and the capital. Populated mostly by professionals, the city of Alexandria is a hub for the Federal Civil Service, the US Army, and several other private establishments.

Numerous associations, charities and non-profit organizations have chosen this city to establish their headquarters. Groups like the Salvation Army exist here to adorn the city with a disciplinary appearance. The city of Alexandria is divided into two parts, the old and the new.
