The mystery of the male multiple orgasm: is it possible to separate orgasms from ejaculation?

For most men, ejaculation and orgasm are pretty much the same thing. Both occur at the same time and cannot be separated from each other. Or you can? What if I told you that it is possible for a man to experience an orgasm without ejaculating? In fact, it is even possible for a man to experience multiple orgasms without ejaculating and therefore without losing his erection.

You may be wondering, how is it possible to separate orgasm and ejaculation? Well, you see, they are two different things. Orgasm is a release of sexual tension when ejaculation is a release of fluid! They are triggered by two different systems in the body. We are just used to the fact that they always happen around the same time. But if you ever noticed, orgasm starts a little before ejaculation starts. It is only by a well implemented reflex that orgasm triggers ejaculation. Orgasm is controlled by the parasympathetic nervous system which is related to relaxation. On the other hand, ejaculation is controlled by the sympathetic nervous system, which is more related to the “fight or flight” response. It is also related to stress and anxiety.

Orgasm causes the body to release a hormone called dopamine, which relaxes you and makes you feel great. But unfortunately, ejaculation causes the body to release another hormone, prolactin. This is the hormone that makes you want to go to sleep. Due to prolactin, you practically lose all interest in sex and have a refractory period. Which means that for most of us, it takes some time to get an erection again. When you learn to separate your orgasms from your ejaculation, you can experience the pleasurable effects of dopamine without the drawbacks of prolactin.

And I’ll tell you one more little secret. When you orgasm without ejaculating, and let’s say you decide to ejaculate later or on another day, the body will release much less prolactin into your body and you will feel much less of its effects. Actually, I hardly have any refractory periods anymore when I choose to ejaculate. Now, I don’t know exactly why that is, but it has been true for me and other men as well.

There are many techniques and many steps to achieve male multiple orgasm, but let’s say that it can be achieved by having perfect control over our arousal. It is about reaching orgasm without falling into ejaculation. Orgasm is the highest peak of your arousal and reaching ejaculation is like going over the edge and falling on the other side.

The trick is to become familiar with your own arousal and sensations and always stay in control. When masturbating or with a partner, get as close to ejaculation as possible and stop to let your arousal subside again. With time and practice, you’ll be able to get more and more aroused without ejaculating, and one day you might even orgasm. It helps to breathe fully when practicing and also try to stay relaxed. Remember, you want to keep the parasympathetic system involved. Good luck in your training.
