So you’ve already decided that the traditional church route isn’t for you and you’re looking for more unique options that people will want to remember. Well, having your wedding ceremony at Maid of the Mist is definitely one of the best ways to go.

For anyone who hasn’t heard of it, the Maid of the Mist is a boat tour located in Niagara Falls that takes visitors as close as possible, several hundred feet, to the Falls itself. This close-up view of the falls allows people to hear and even feel the thunderous power of the water as it spills over the edge above them.

Choosing to get married at this unique attraction is an option that few couples have chosen, not because it’s not a good idea, but because many people don’t even know that getting married at the Maid of the Mist is even an option for them.

The famous boat tour company allows couples to get married on their boats, however, you will need to get the company’s permission and arrange to bring your own minister onto the boat with you because, contrary to popular belief, the captain cannot perform the ceremony.

Another thing to keep in mind is that each time the ship sails it carries several hundred passengers with it, so the cost of chartering it solely for your ceremony may be too high a price to pay. 3) The last important step for this wedding is to make arrangements with the Maid of the Mist Boat Company as soon as possible. You will need to give them all the information of what you are planning and exercising at the best time of day and how much it would cost you.

It’s a big company, but they do their best to make your day as perfect as possible, as long as you give them as much time and planning as possible.

One thing to note here is that the Maid of the Mist is a private company so it is their discretion if they want to continue to hold weddings on their ships. Another good reason to plan ahead.
