Carb Cycle Meal Plan: Learn the Importance of Protein in the Carb Cycle Diet

There are many carbohydrate cycling eating plans, however, not all of them are going to have the foods you like. So maybe it’s time to create your own. Here I will show you what types of foods and why they should be included in your meal plans.

Carbohydrate cycle eating plans are best done on a 6 meal per day plan, this way you will have enough food to feed you and keep your metabolism high, which is very important on this diet.

There are 3 basic days in the carbohydrate cycle diet:

– High carbohydrate day

– Low carb day

– Day without carbohydrates

On the high carb day, you will have 4 meals out of 6 that will contain as many carbohydrates as you want. Just remember to mix it with some lean proteins like:

– white meat of chicken / turkey

– canned tuna)

– protein shakes with at least 40 – 50 g of protein. Remember, you will want to lose 1 g / 1 pound of body weight when consuming protein. This will help maintain the definition of your muscles.

– curd

– and egg whites.

Those are the best proteins you can consume during your carb cycle diet run.

On the low carb day, cut down on carbs to just 3 carb-limited meals at all. Everyone else will have none, just lots of lean protein and veggies. Your proteins are very important on this day, as they will be an important part of your diet, so do not skimp.

On the no carb day, NO LITTLE carb intake. Most of the carbohydrates will come from the vegetables or protein that you will eat throughout the day.

As you can see throughout those 3 days of the basic cycle, you need to maintain your protein intake. This is what fuels your muscles, without it, you lose them and your metabolism drops like a stone. Since maintaining your metabolism throughout the diet is the key to making it work, that would mean eating your adequate protein intake is the key to everything.

Without adequate protein intake at 1 g / 1 pound of body weight, the carbohydrate cycle eating plan will be null and void. Because without it there is no metabolism, because there is no muscle to get it going. Therefore, while following the carbohydrate cycle diet, maintain the required protein intake, in this way, you will have the opportunity to reach your goal of a well-defined body.
